With one month away until the release of Final Fantasy XIII in the Japanese market, this long-awaited RPG seems to be already expecting a huge amount of sales.
According to Taketo Matsuo, responsible for the Tsutaya “game Recycle Planning Group”, which takes care to gather information and distribute to more than 450 retails shops around the world, the advance orders for Final Fantasy XIII have already exceeded, by now, the number of pre-orders Final Fantasy XII had.
Matsuo hopes that FFXIII will be one of games most sold throughout the year, expecting million copies sold. Matsuo tells us that despite the harsh season last year and sales of Dissidia, this year’s line-up, in contrast, is something that only happens “once in 10 years” as new Final Fantasy, Super Mario and Zelda, support long sellers like Dragon Quest IX and Pokemon Gold Silver Heart and Silver Soul, he hopes that this will be a great year for consoles.
Will Call of Duty reaches the top 10 sales in Japan? If so, Square Enix will be very pleased to receive two titles in 1st and 10th place in December.
